With sadness, we share the passing of Joan Mary Good (Wilmington, North Carolina). Joan, born on December 4, 1954, passed away on October 7, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandmother Catherine Neis; her parents, Robert Serns and Mary Serns; and her brother Steven Serns. She is survived by: her husband Steve Good; her children, Kate Bell (Justin), Rob Good (Emily) and Ann Marie Gray (Martin); her grandchildren, Bennet, Owen, Sully, Hazel Good, Noah, Colton, Eli Bell and Spencer Gray; and her brother James Serns. She is also survived by numerous cousins, two nephews and a niece.
In lieu of flowers, food or other expressions of sympathy, her family requests donations to one of Joan's many favorite charities (including St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Special Olympics, Smile Train, Save the Children, and ASPCA), to the non-profit organization Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in recognition of her family's appreciation for the outstanding care they provided Joan and Steve, or to another charity of choice.
