She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Wade Stanley, Sr. and Mabel Irene "Jackie" Rogers; and her brothers, Louis Wade Stanley, Jr., Roger Clarence Stanley and Fredrick Arthur Stanley.

She is survived by: her husband Danny Richard Buck; her children, Guy Thomas Buck (Elizabeth) and Wendy Ann Buck-Weimer; her daughter-in-law DeeAnn Buck; her siblings-in-law, Martin Buck (Ava), Gregory Buck (Anne) and Maria A. Stanley; and her grandchildren, Kamrina Weimer (Alex), Keigan Akers (Megan), Spencer Buck (Rachel), Nicholas Buck (Mary Beth), Madison Buck (Blake), Tabitha Dorceus (Dhimitri), Ashlie Newman (DJ), Olivia Turner (Walt) and Angus McTeer (Rachel). She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and several beloved nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in JoAnn's memory to Saint Mary's Episcopal Church in Burgaw, or to the Wounded Warriors Project, causes close to her heart.
