He was predeceased by: his wife Ann; his parents, John Dye Barker and Ethel Mae Beeler; his children, Jo Dee and John; his son-in-law Michael; and his brother Wayne.

He is survived by: his daughter Helene; his children-in-law, John and Lori; his grandchildren, Annie (Tom), Megan (Travis), Simon and Claire (Alastair); and his great grandchild Sunny. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
