He was predeceased by: his father Joseph M. Spencer. He is survived by: his wife Pam Spencer; his daughter Olivia (Dakota); his mother Mae S. Spencer; his siblings, Jim (Sandra), Lee (Judy), Bill (Wendy) and June (Brad); and his siblings' children, Miranda, Rachel, Christopher and Alex.

In lieu of flowers memorials maybe sent to the Parkinson's Foundation or to the Kairos Foundation in honor of John.
