He was predeceased by: his mother Joann Rachelle; his son Andrew Watkins; and his siblings, Barbara Andrychowski, Sharon Spraggins, Cecile Yinger, Mark Watkins and Elizabeth Blazer.

He is survived by: his wife Kimberly Bailey Watkins; his children, Shannon Horton (David) and Jackson Watkins (Danyelle); his granddaughters, Emily Horace and Paige Horton; and his siblings, David Watkins (Debbie), Mary Louise Dill (Marvin), Marla Clifton (Lloyd), Michael Watkins (Karen), Joe L. Watkins (Alecia) and Douglas Vance (Gina). He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
