Joyce will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Though Joyce is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Joyce’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernie McDaniel Huggins and Offie McNeil Huggins; her husband Major Glenn Russell; and her son John Denning Russell. She is survived by: her children, Glenda R. Osborne (Colin), Janet R. Hollis (Ralph) and Jeffrey G. Russell (Belinda); and her daughter-in-law Donna W. Russell. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Oleander Memorial Garden (306 Bradley Dr, Wilmington, NC 28403).
