It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Avery Simeone (Wilmington, North Carolina), born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, who passed away on August 20, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Henry Avery, Sr. and Dorothy Clair Sanderson Avery; and her siblings, Dorothy Clapp, Jackie Kuban, George Avery Jr. and Sharon Woodward.
She is survived by: her husband Paul Pasquale Simeone; her sons, Paul Simeone (Katie) of Simsbury, CT, Kenneth Simeone (Jenelle) of Concord, NC and Eric Simeone (JD) of Atlanta, GA.; and her grandchildren, Luciana, Enzo, Gemma and Hudson.
