He was predeceased by: his father Henry Edward Sandlin; his sister Rosemary Merritt; his parents-in-law, Tony and Rebecca Thompkins; his siblings-in-law, Roy Merritt (Roy Swenson) and Annette Swenson; and his sibling's children, Sissy Coleman, Tonya Willis, Wayne and Tony Willis.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Ann Sandlin; his mother Ruby Geraldine Sandlin; his brother Johnny Sandlin (Terri); his children, Amy (Tony), Heather (Danny), Eddie (Heather Marie) and Cory (Terri); and his grandchildren, Jesse, Alex, Austin, Thomas, Christopher, John, Taylor and Joshua. He is also survived by niece's and nephews, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, an cousin.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pine View Church (202 Flemington Rd, Wilmington, NC 28401).
