It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth Ray Hayes of Wilmington, North Carolina, who passed away on July 9, 2025, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Kenneth Ray may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Kenneth Ray touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Viney Hayes and Raymond Hayes; and his children, Veronica Hayes, Amanda Hayes and Kenneth Hayes, Jr..
Viewing will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Dunn Funeral Home Chapel (810 W Wilmington St, Burgaw, NC 28425). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
