It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laura Jean Jana of Wilmington, North Carolina, who passed away on August 11, 2025, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Laura shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Laura farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Jana and Marie Bailie; and her sister Diane Jana. She is survived by: her children, Jeremiah Boerema and Samantha Yero; her granddaughter Shailee Spaulding-Boerema; her sister Carol Daniels; and her nieces, Jeri Evans and Shannon Hesser.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Laura's honor to support tree planting, a living tribute to her love of nature.
