He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Cleveland Pugh and Pearlie Slater Pugh; his wife Carol Ann Noble Pugh; his siblings, Clifford Cook, Grace Massey, James Pugh, Lucinda West, Clotil Irving, Arthur Pugh, Jimmy Lee Cook, Rhonda Sherman and Tommy Cook; and his son-in-law Tracy Herring.

He is survived by: his daughters, Melanie Herring, Heather Hyatt and Mindie Harmon; his sons-in-law, Kenny Harmon, Guy Sherman and Gary Hyatt; his grandchildren, Gary, Rebecca Hyatt, Lee, William Sherman, Cole Herring, Fawn Walton and Vivia Harmon; his great grandchildren, Connor Harmon, Savannah, Gabrielle Sosa, Carson, Casey, Tracy Herring, Esme Sherman and Claire Walton; and his sisters, June Miller and Pearl Blackmon. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
