She is survived by: her daughter Xaimina Powell; her son-in-law Scott of Wilmington, NC.; her siblings, Mike of New Mexico, Virginia of Kansas, JoAnn of Washington and Katie of Colorado; and her grandchildren, Abigail Powell and Alia Glass (Justin). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In remembrance of Leona, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, a cause close to her heart.
