With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lois Carmen Edgerton in Wilmington, North Carolina, who passed away on July 8, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephen Almond and Carmen Kirby Herring; and her spouse Thomas Colston Edgerton. She is survived by: her brother Gene Kirby; her sons, Stephen (Martha Edgerton), Art (Ann Edgerton) and Eric (Sharon Edgerton); her grandchildren, Taylor (Barron Glenn), Anna (James Tinker), Spencer Edgerton of Durham, NC, Colston (Jessica Edgerton), Paisley (Eric Carpenter), Jordan Edgerton of Melbourne, Michael Church (Amanda Church) of Wilmington and Devin Kerrigan of Charleston, SC; and her great grandchildren, Corinne, Walker, Thomas, Brad, Owen, Wren, Cora and Eloise. She is also survived by her nieces and nephew.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Lois's memory be made to Wallace Presbyterian Church, 205 West Main Street, Wallace, NC 28466.
