Mabelene W. Carter Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mabelene W. Carter (Wilmington, North Carolina), born in Whiteville, North Carolina, who passed away on November 3, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Walker and Vernie Walker; her close friend Robert Wright; her siblings, Margaret Hufham, Richard Walker and O'Neil Walker; and her son Andy Carter.

She is survived by: her sister Ruby Thompson (Mabelene); her daughters, Scarlett Spencer (Greg) and Darlene Hart (Bob); her grandchildren, Sara Carter, Jonny Spencer (Jenny), Katie Spencer, Jamison Hart and Brittany Thaxton; and her great grandchildren, Summer, Slater, Silas, Stella, Carter, Cohen and Nico. She is also survived by her friends, spending time with her family, and watching her greatgrandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mabelene's home church, Olivet Baptist Church.
