The memory of Mable T. Cooke of Wilmington, North Carolina, who passed away on March 1, 2025 at the age of 98, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mable Phillips Thompson and Walter Thompson; her husband Albert Roland Cooke; her son Albert Roland Cooke, Jr.; and her siblings, Repsie Johnson, Callie Watkins, Edith Thompson, Leatha Puckett of Ethel Casio, J. W and Cooper Thompson.
She is survived by: her son Travis Cooke (Pam) of Wilmington; her daughter-in-law Daphne Hill of Pittsboro; her grandchildren, Garrison Cooke of Wilmington and Meredith Cooke Fitch (David); and her great grandchildren, Virginia and Lee of Chapel Hill. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fitch Pediatric Rehab at UNC Children's Hospital, 123 West Franklin Street, Suite 510, Chapel Hill, NC 27516 or to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, where Mable lovingly volunteered for many years.
