She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas (Margaret Bruther) and N. J.; her husband Edward "Ed" George Birbick; and her siblings, Thomas, James, John Bruther and Kathleen Bruther Lanning.
She is survived by: her children, William Birbick and Carolyn Birbick Ownby (Ralph); and her grandsons, Paul Milam, Jr. and Alex Birbick. She is also survived by friends, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Mark Catholic Church (1011 Eastwood Rd, Wilmington, NC 28403).
