She was predeceased by: her father Ashley Meeks; her husband Kenneth Ard; her siblings, Dricilla McLaughlin, Rachel Moore, Frances Cunningham, Bobby Meeks and Paul Meeks; and her nieces, Annette Cunningham and Delores Beverly.
She is survived by: her niece Charlotte Cunningham; her nephews, Avery Wiggins and Little Jeff Wiggins III; her pet Evo; Ivy Beverly (Little Jeff Wiggins Jr).
In lieu of flowers, her family requested donations be directed to First Baptist Church of Carolina Beach.
