She was predeceased by: her parents, Luis Cartaya and Maria Esperanza Cartaya (Carvallo). She is survived by: her children, Alejandro Badia, MD and Susana Rylander (Eric); her grandchildren, Jack McGuire, Mitchell McGuire, Alessia Badia and Alessandro Badia; and her brother Luis Cesar Cartaya (Danielle). She is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
