She was predeceased by: her husband James B. Feimster; her son Robert Wade Feimster; her brother Donald Odum, Sr.; and her parents, Ralph Odum and Dorothy Odum.

She is survived by: her children, Janice Feimster and Bruce Feimster (Tammy); her grandchildren, Jennifer Sutterlin (Mason), Summer Buchanan (Matthew), Wayne Feimster and Aidan Anderson; her great grandchildren, Dalton, Paislee Buchanan, Layla, Rylie and Cora Sutterlin; and her brother Jimmy Odum (Debbie).

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel (4108 College Rd, Wilmington, NC 28412). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Sea Lawn Memorial Park (17750 Hwy 17, Hampstead, NC 28443).

The family welcomes memorial donations to the Lower Cape Fear Life Care Center in Marilyn's memory, in lieu of flowers.
