It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Eugenia Gunn (Wilmington, North Carolina), born in Sioux City, Iowa, who passed away on June 28, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her son Elvis Canaday; and her siblings, Beverly, Jeanette and Jim. She is survived by: her children, Debbie Bowen (George), Michael Canaday (Lori) and Roland Canaday Jr.; her grandchildren, Kristy, George Jr. and Jessica; her great grandchildren, Ashley, Nicholas, Aaron, Brandon, Christae and Chloe; and her sister Sandy.

Family has asked that donations be made in Mary's name to a childrens choir or church ministry – causes close to her heart.
