She was predeceased by: her father Jimmy Penny; and her stepfather Bill Parker. She is survived by: her mother Edith Penny Parker; her sister Laura Penny Courtney; her husband Thomas "Pete" Ellis; her sons, Douglas "Trey" McLean and Christopher McLean (Taylor); her grandchildren, Bradley McLean, Olivia, Haley, Harper and CJ; and her great grandchild Colson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Northside Baptist Church (2501 N College Rd, Wilmington, NC 28405). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
