He was predeceased by: his parents, George David Motte and Mert Lee Tedder Motte; his stepmother Bernice Jacob Motte; his brother Wayne Motte; his aunts, Allene, Mildred and Gwen; and his uncle Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Bullard Motte; his daughters, Tonya Ballard and Heather Edwards; his sisters, Gloria Hill and Karen Ake; and his grandchildren, Jordon, Justin, Olivia and David.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Wilmington Funeral Chapel (1535 S 41st St, Wilmington, NC 28403). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
