He is survived by: his children, Paul Adkins of Houston, TX, Misty Nagy (Tom Mertes) of Jacksonville and Kimberly Costello of Jacksonville; his grandchildren, Courtney Adkins, John C. Nagy II, Brendan Nagy, Matthew Nagy, Kaylia Costello, Kaillynn Costello and Cora Lynn Baysden; and his siblings, Kenny, David Baysden of Hubert and Dana Miller (Dave) of Iowa. He is also survived by his ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home (2685 Henderson Dr, Jacksonville, NC 28546).
