He was predeceased by: his parents, James Swartz and Priscilla "Dolly" Swartz; and his wife Carlene G. Swartz. He is survived by: his children, Michele Swartz Garcia (late Johnny) of Alamogordo, NM and Shawn Michael Swartz (Michele) of Wilmington, NC; his stepson James William Martin of Jupiter, FL; his grandson John Garcia (David) of Alamogordo, NM; and his brother James Swartz (Sandy) of Wilmington, NC. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
