He was predeceased by: his parents, Merl Ambrose Burk and Jean Amber Burk (Wallace); his granddaughter Abigail Smith; his son Eric Burk; his sister Karen Wells; his brother-in-law Tom Bliss; and his pet Sofie.
He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Burk (Diehl); his children, Rhonda Smith (Eric), Kristen McPherson and Blaire Lash (Randy); his grandchildren, Eric Smith (Abigail), Ethan Smith, Aaron Smith, Collin Lash, Charlotte McPherson, Aurora McPherson, Braxton Lash and Colton Lash; his great grandchild Jackson Smith; his sister Susan Bliss; and his siblings-in-law, Jim Wells, Randy Diehl (Maggie), Jerry Diehl and Linda Diehl. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
