With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Paul William Laustsen in Wilmington, North Carolina, born in Piscataway, New Jersey, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Laurids Laustsen and Sena Marie Madsen Laustsen; his son Perry Laustsen; his grandson Daniel Laustsen; and his siblings, Henry, Norman, Ginny, Melsen, Louis and Russell Laustsen.
He is survived by: his wife Laura Lee Laustsen; his sister Dorothy Hynes of Reno, Nevada; his son David Laustsen (Diane) of Easton, Pennsylvania; his daughter-in-law Susan Laustsen of East Windsor; his son Alan Laustsen (Jennifer) of Hartwell, Georgia.; his grandchildren, Brian Laustsen (Kaitlin), Christa O'Brien (Kevin), Michael Laustsen, David Laustsen Jr., Rachel Hill (Nicholas), Tyler Laustsen and Shane Laustsen; and his great grandchildren, Josephine, Collins, Welles, Conor, Caroline, Clare, Carter and Paisley.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at the Lutheran Church of Reconciliation (7500 Market St, Wilmington, NC 28411).
