She is survived by: her children, Mary Ellen DuRant of Rutherfordton, Jem DuRant (Tammy) of Wilmington and Earl DuRant (Paula) of Sneads Ferry; her grandchildren, Heather DuRant of Hampstead, Jordan Trader (Tim) of Wilmington, Haley King (Mark) of Maple Hill and T. C. Smith (Becca) of Riegelwood; and her great grandchildren, Tyler Nance, Coleman DuRant Smith and Allison King.
A graveside service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Oakdale Cemetery (520 N 15th St, Wilmington, NC 28401).
