It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Prestwood Eagle (Wilmington, North Carolina), who passed away on January 16, 2026, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Ronald James Eagle, Jr.; her siblings, Ruth Lynch, Jane Slater, Stacy Oliver Prestwood and Linda Smith; and her parents, Oliver Stacey and Alphia Stallings Prestwood.
She is survived by: her daughters, Rebecca Eagle West, Traci Caroline Eagle (Deborah Benson) and Sherrial Haley West; her granddaughter Jodi West White (Scott) of Midlothian; her great grandchildren, Lauren Rebecca White of Richmond and Caroline Preston White of Crested Butte, CO.; and her brothers, Bob Prestwood (Annamarie) of Fayetteville, NC and Larry Prestwood (Gaynelle) of Wilmington, NC. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
