She was predeceased by: her husband Everette C. Kearney; her siblings, Aubrey Jones, Oscar Jones, Bessie "Bobbie" Taylor, James "Boots" Jones, Shirley Reynolds, Dorothy "Dot" Martin and Jackie Jones; and her grandson Mick Carney.
She is survived by: her children, Teresa Flowe (Ray), Bill Carney (Beth), Danny Carney (Shelly) and Connie Brooks (Norman); her grandchildren, Andrea Burdette (Daniel), Summer Carney, Carrie McDonnell (Marc), Hank Brooks (Cristina) and Brianna Carney; her great grandchildren, Britiney McCombs, Gabriel Carney, Hadley McDonnell, Evan McDonnell, Ford Brooks and Shepherd Brooks; and her siblings, Frances "Bunchie" Crews and Charles Jones. She is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, in appreciation for the compassionate and loving care provided to Peggy and her family.
