It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Pennie Wood (Wilmington, North Carolina), born in Salemburg, North Carolina, who passed away on July 3, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James A. Porter and Clarice Porter. She is survived by: her husband Aubrey Wood; her children, David, Ricky Wood and Wendy Wood Holdsworth (Jeremy); her daughters-in-law, Mary Bowles, Jennifer Wood and Whitney Sublett; her grandchildren, Abby Miller (Andrew), Lincoln Wood, Samuel Holdsworth (Haleigh), Matthew Holdsworth (Brooke) and Rhett Wood; her sister Dianne Smith (Earl); her sister-in-law Anne Vaught; and her aunt Sylvia Gardner. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins, and extended family.
