She is survived by: her husband Larry Gaulin; her children, Stephanie Thompson Spivey (Dylan) of Laurel Hill and Jason Michael Thompson of Marston; her sisters, Ann Ellis Smith of Laurinburg and Kim Ellis Clark (Deon) of Wagram; her grandchildren, Samantha Spivey Butler (Bailey) of Hamlet and Sage Makala Spivey (Daniel) of Maxton; her great grandchildren, Adalyn, Wyatt and Atlas; and her nephew Jimmy "Jay" Reese, Jr. (Nicole).

A memorial service was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Coble Funeral & Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park (1155 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC 28412).
