She was predeceased by: her parents, Christopher Thomas Salter and Ada Salter; and her husband William Richard "Billy" Gupton. She is survived by: her children, William Richard Gupton, Jr. (Karen) of Raleigh and Lorraine Salter "Lori" Gupton of Raleigh; her granddaughters, Catherine Stuart Gupton and Allison Brooks Gupton; her siblings, Edward Roscoe Salter of Stella and Ellen Faye Salter Chadwick of Gloucester; and her sisters-in-law, Gail P. Gupton of Rocky Mount and Pat Condon of Pinehurst. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to First Baptist Church, 200 S. Church St., Rocky Mount NC 27804 and most importantly, they ask that you connect with people that you love and that you cherish your time with them.
