With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rethea M. Wright of Wilmington, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 7, 2025 at the age of 71. Rethea was loved and cherished by many people including: children, Leon Murphy (Rosz) of Singapore, Felisha Nelson (Charles) of Wilmington, NC, Lawanda Murphy of Wilmington, NC and Linda Pearson (David) of Wilmington, NC; and siblings, Joseph Pollock (Cherie) of Wilmington, NC, Junior Lee Murphy of Wilmington, NC, Linda Chase of Wilmington, NC and Ruth Barnes of Atlanta, GA.
Viewing will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the New Beginning Christian Church (3120 Alex Trask Dr, Castle Hayne, NC 28429). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
