It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rita Joan Phillips (Wilmington, North Carolina), born in Olean, New York, who passed away on August 5, 2019, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Case and Barbara Gretch Case; her husband Walter Phillips; her son Bradley Phillips; and her siblings, Bud Case and Carol Dubois.

She is survived by: her children, Rodney Phillips (Karen) of Pendleton, NY, David Phillips of Wilmington, NC, Lorrie Rigby of Oregon and Karen Vineyard of Whiteville, NC; and her grandson Case Leo Phillips. She is also survived by seven other grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
