He was predeceased by: his mother Joanne Gorsett (Sjodin); his grandparents, Martin, Alice Gorsett, Raymond and Irene Sjodin; his aunt Marilyn Gorsett; his uncle Gordon Sjodin; and his cousin John Sjodin.

He is survived by: his father Eugene Gorsett (Dian) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; his wife Audra Carwile; his daughters, Allie and Ashley of Wilmington; his sister Brenda Gorsett of Yankton; his nephew Benjamin; and his niece Danielle Fosdick of Eden Prairie, Minnesota. He is also survived by uncles, aunts, cousins.
