He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Martenis and Ethel Martenis; his wife Vicky Martenis; his son-in-law Rich Hammond; and his sister-in-law Ann Lucy.
He is survived by: his children, Rob Martenis (Diane) and Jody Hammond; his stepdaughters, Beth Anderson (Chuck) and Leigh Hooker (Dave); his grandsons, Casey Hammond (Leala) and Zach Hooker; his great grandchild Vivian Hammond; his sister Gail Hull (Jack); his brothers-in-law, Robert Dewsbury and Carlton Lucy; and his caregiver Tammy Reilly. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare or Saint Andrews–Covenant Presbyterian Church.
