He is survived by: his wife Naomi Devane Melvin; his children, Rhonda Woodell (Bobby), Terria McLeod (William) and Todd Melvin (Darlene); his grandchildren, Robbie, Heather, Jamie, Brandon, Emma and Ava; and his great grandchildren, Jadah, Samantha, Dalton, Adyson, William, Asher, Amelia and Sawyer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Robert's memory may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice.
