He is survived by: his wife Janice Hawkins; his son Rod Hawkins; his sisters, Tracy Crisp and Kelly Rushing; his stepchildren, Walter Bateman and Allison Toney; his grandchildren, Phoenix Bateman and Truth Toney-Ryan; Barbie Byrd and Caitlin Ryan.
