He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Deaton and Marie Deaton; and his former wife Wilberta Combs Deaton. He is survived by: his wife Mary Anne Deaton; his sons, Grant of Leland and Greg (Jennifer) of DeWitt; his grandchildren, Jameson and Alex; and his siblings, Jimmy (Jan Russell), Donna (Ralph Watson) and Sandie (Jim Price). He is also survived by nieces and nephews and cousins.
