She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. George Louis Jones, Sr. and Margaret Wilson Jones; and her granddaughter Liza Elwood. She is survived by: her brothers, George Louis Jones, Jr. of Martinsville and David Churchill Jones (Karen Jones) of Martinsville; her significant other Charles Columbus Bassett III; her children, Margaret Bassett Harmon (Hans Petersen) of Black Mountain, NC, Betsy Lee-Bassett Stevenson (Walt Stevenson) of Midlothian, VA, Hunter Bassett Turner of Midlothian, VA, Leigh Bassett Fatzinger (Hap Fatzinger) of Wilmington, NC and Chad Bassett (Becky Bassett) of Charlottesville, VA.; her grandchildren, Hunter Harmon (Kate Harmon) of Charlottesville, VA, Price Elwood of Richmond, VA, Alex Turner of New York City, NY, Will Fatzinger of Wilmington, NC, Charlie Fatzinger of Wilmington, NC and Calvin Bassett of Charlottesville, VA.; and her great grandchildren, Naomi Bland of Midlothian, VA and Kaiden Redford-Elwood of Glen Allen, VA.
