He was predeceased by: his parents, Jere W. Loftis and Claudia Jones Loftis; and his sister Geraldine Edwards. He is survived by: his wife Charlene Danesi Loftis of Leland, NC; his daughter Julie Thomas (Greg) of Rocky Point, NC; his sister Patricia Edwards of Texas; his grandsons, Austin Samuel Grabovac (Bryanna) of Hampstead, NC and Bradley Scott Thomas (Becca) of Leland, NC; his great grandchildren, Palmer Scott Grabovac and Mason Samuel Grabovac; his sister-in-law Valerie Gasperini of Leland, NC; his close friends, Beth and Jerry Jones of Waynesville, NC.; and also, Bob and Jeanne Keil of Leland, NC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Wilmington Funeral and Cremation (1535 S 41st St, Wilmington, NC 28403).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Lower Cape Fear Hospice.
