Shelby Dempsey Moore Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 21, 2025, at the age of 85, Shelby Dempsey Moore of Wilmington, North Carolina passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Shelby Dempsey Moore to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Seba Dempsey and Mary Lily Dempsey; and her husband David Moore. She is survived by: her close friends, Sue Atkinson and Ruby Brian; her children, Bryan Moore (Sheila) of Pinehurst, NC, Todd Moore (Tracey) of Carolina Beach, NC and Nikki Johnson (Stan) of Wilmington, NC; her grandchildren, Patrick Moore (Claire), Rachel Gilleland (Alex), Zachary Moore and Briley Rascoe; and her great grandchildren, Nash Moore, Margo Gilleland, Briar and Charlie Rascoe. She is also survived by her three children and a wonderful grandmother and great-grandmother.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Grace Baptist Church (1401 N College Rd, Wilmington, NC 28405). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
The family kindly requests that any memorial donations be made to the Novant Health Zimmer Cancer Institute in appreciation of their thoughtful care.
