It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Susan Darr Blackburn of Wilmington, North Carolina, born in Thomasville, North Carolina, who passed away on July 11, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Clarence Arthur Darr and Ila Agnes Darr (McGee); her siblings, Lorraine Jordan (Darr), Louise Jones (Darr), Faye Everhart (Darr), Kay Palmer (Darr) and Steve Darr; her sisters-in-law, Sharon Darr and Mary Grace Darr; her brothers, Clarence Ray Darr and Harry Lee Darr; her child Allison Blackburn Collins; her grandchildren, Abigael Grace Collins and Sean Padraic Collins; and her nieces, Myra Kelly, Texie Jessup, Jean Matthews, Celeste Roberson Smith, Tommie Lynne Oppegaard and Susan.
