He is survived by: his mother Sylvia Faye Gause Gurganious; his daughter Heather Ellington (Cody); his granddaughters, Chloe Ellington and Zoey Ellington; and his siblings, John Allen Gurganious (Tammie) and Lisa Simmons (Darius).
Visitation was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Riley's Creek Baptist Church (19845 State Hwy 210, Rocky Point, NC 28457). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at the Riley's Creek Memorial Cemetery (2111 Clarks Landing Loop Rd, Rocky Point, NC 28457).
