He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Thomas Efird, Sr. and Mattie Augusta Strickland Efird. He is survived by: his wife Emily B. Efird; his children, Kimberly King (CO), William Timothy Efird and Jason Michael Efird (Emma Efird); and his sisters, Mildred Lewis and Linda Blake. He is also survived by his sixteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
The family asks in lieu of flowers that donation to two charities Wayne loved be made. Those foundations are The Diabetes Foundation of America and St. Jude's Children's hospital.
