He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Schmidt and Henry Schmidt; and his siblings, Anne, Henry, Bill and Marion.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn R. Schmidt; his children, Susan Schmidt and John Schmidt (Jessica); and his grandchildren, Jocelyn and Ryan. He is also survived by many in-laws, "favorite" nieces, nephews, and friends.
