He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Hiden McEachern III and Norma Carpenter McEachern; his wife Julia Perry McEachern; his sons, William Hiden McEachern V "Will" and Robert Andrews McEachern "Drew"; his siblings, Stuart Davis McEachern "Stu" and Eda Caroline McEachern "Missy"; and his grandchildren, Carran Hiden McEachern and Mayleigh Grace McEachern.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the W. H. McEachern Produce Building (121 S Front St, Wilmington, NC 28401).
After the company closed, he continued working as a boat motor mechanic until Parkinson's eventually made it impossible for him to work.
