She is survived by: her children, Jeffery Lynn Ellis (Marci) and Julie Ellis Waitz (Michael); her grandchildren, Lyndsay Ellis, Nick Ellis, Greta Waitz and Ellis Waitz; and her siblings, Millie Lowe (Pat), Wilma Cooke, Ronnie Sadler and Junnie Sadler.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home (2704 Nash St N, Wilson, NC 27896). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Good News Advent Christian Church Cemetery (6990 Good News Church Rd, Stantonsburg, NC 27883).
