It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Annie Hinnant Scott of Wilson, North Carolina, who passed away on December 9, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Harrison Elijah Scott; her parents, Roland Hinnant and Beulah Hinnant; and her siblings, Jennings Hinnant and Lois Marie Hinnant.
She is survived by: her daughters, Bonnie Scott Truelove (Jerry) and Michelle Scott Galloway (Jimmy); her granddaughters, Rebecca Trask (Lake) and Cameron Ivey; her great grandchild Salter Trask; and her sister Alice Schooley.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Joyners Funeral Home & Crematory (4100 Raleigh Rd Pkwy W, Wilson, NC 27896). Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 9:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens (2704 Nash St NW, Wilson, NC 27896).
