She was predeceased by: her husband Harrison Elijah Scott; her parents, Roland Hinnant and Beulah Hinnant; and her siblings, Jennings Hinnant and Lois Marie Hinnant.
She is survived by: her daughters, Bonnie Scott Truelove (Jerry) and Michelle Scott Galloway (Jimmy); her granddaughters, Rebecca Trask (Lake) and Cameron Ivey; her great grandchild Salter Trask; and her sister Alice Schooley.
