It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bettie Woodard of Wilson, North Carolina, who passed away on June 16, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She is survived by: her husband J. E. Woodard; her children, Elizabeth Logan (Mike) of Pikeville and John Cayton, Jr. (Martha) of Saratoga; her grandchildren, Keith Wilson of Elm City, Edward Cayton (Casey) of Wilson and Dr. Emily Cayton (David Weathersby) of Four Oaks; her great grandchildren, Katelyn Hinton, Kortney Wilson, Lane, Charlie Weathersby and Kinsley Cayton; her great great grandchild Natalie Hinton; her siblings, Edith Proctor of Oak Island and Joe Smith of Elm City; and her stepsons, Michael Woodard (Sarah Woodard) of Durham and Jeff Woodard (Paula) of Mount Juliet, TN. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Wilson Memorial Service (2811 Fieldstream Dr N, Wilson, NC 27896). Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 10:45 AM to 12:45 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Evergreen Memorial Park (2800 Nash St N, Wilson, NC 27896).
